Description: Fruit are medium sized and have a hard, bittersweet flavour, high in tannin.
Tremlett’s Bitter has frost resistant blossom and is a heavy cropper, although it tends to be biennial. Tremlett’s Bitter apples fall to the ground when ripe, so can be easily collected rather than picked. Definitely a cider apple, but a helpful one.
